STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex rose 205.78 points, or 0.36%,
to 57,819.5, while the broader NSE index advanced 60.6
points, or 0.35%, to 17,012.3, tracking an uptick in U.S. equity
futures and most Asian gauges. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee weakened 0.07% versus the U.S. dollar
to 82.26 after adjusting for the fiscal year shift carry,
traders said. GOVERNMENT BONDS:
Benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 99.50
rupees, with yield up 1 bps at 7.3337%, with trading awaiting
the April-September borrowing schedule. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was down
1 bps at 6.75%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate fell 3 bps to 6.22%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was up 15 bps at
6.80% against 6.65% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS
rate was at 6.77%, compared with the previous
day's weighted average of 6.6528%.
