Ugandan shilling extends losses on bank appetite

KAMPALA, March 29 (Reuters) - The Ugandan shilling weakened on Wednesday, sapped by foreign exchange appetite, largely from the interbank market, traders said.

At 0903 GMT commercial banks quoted the shilling at 3,790/3,800, compared to Tuesday's close of 3,772/3,782.

The shilling has lost more than 2% of its value against the dollar for the year-to-date, according to Refinitiv data.
