Asia Naphtha/Gasoline-Gasoline markets end month in gains

NEW DELHI, March 31 (Reuters) - Asia's gasoline markets gained nearly 29% this month amid thinning inventories and robust consumption at key demand centers such as U.S., China and Australia.


The gasoline refining margin slipped on Friday to $15.49 a barrel over Brent crude amid a weakness in oil benchmarks. Global light distillate stocks drew down for the sixth consecutive week to their lowest since end-2022. Total stocks have stayed on average 4.4 million barrels below the historic levels since the end of last year, estimates by consultancy FGE showed. Meanwhile, Taiwan's Formosa offered term cargoes of alkylate for May 2023-March 2024 period, in a tender that is valid till Friday.


ARA INVENTORIES Gasoline stocks at the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) refining and storage hub rose 1.6% to 1.47 million tonnes in the week to Thursday on slower exports to the United States, Insights Global data showed.


Naphtha inventories declined to 218,000 tonnes in the week to March 30 from 253,000 tonnes in the prior week, the data showed.
