HONG KONG, March 31 (Reuters) - Hong Kong's February
retail sales rose 31.3% from a year earlier as economic
sentiment improved alongside a sharp rebound in visitor arrivals
and low base of comparison in the year-earlier period,
government data showed on Friday.
Sales increased to HK$33.1 billion ($4.22 billion) for a
third consecutive month of growth. That compared with a revised
6.9% rise in January.
In volume terms, retail sales increased 29.6% year on year
in February. That compared with 5.1% increase in January.
