April 3 (Reuters) - Kazakhstan's consumer price growth
in March slowed to 0.9% on the month and 18.1% in annual terms
from February's figures of 1.3% and 21.3% respectively, the
statistics bureau said on Monday.
The decline in annual inflation could be to a large extent
due to the higher base effect, as prices in the former Soviet
republic began to surge after its key trading partner Russia
invaded Ukraine and faced Western sanctions in February 2022.
