It was the slowest annual rise since March 2022.
The index rose 0.2% on a monthly basis, after a 0.3% rise in
the previous month, according to the Statistics Korea.
Economists had expected the index to rise 0.2% in the survey.

SEOUL, April 4 (Reuters) - South Korea's consumer
inflation eased to a one-year low in March and came slightly
lower than economists' expectations, official data showed on
Tuesday.
The consumer price index stood 4.2% higher in March than a
year earlier, compared with gains of 4.8% in February and 4.3%
forecast in a Reuters survey.
