Romania sells 304.6 mln lei of Oct. 2026 bonds

BUCHAREST, April 10 (Reuters) - Romania sold a less than planned 304.6 million lei ($67.45 million) worth of new Oct. 2026 treasury bonds on Monday at an average accepted yield of 7.17%, central bank data showed. Debt managers, who had planned to sell 500 million lei of the paper, tendered June 2026 bonds in February at an average yield of 7.28%.


So far this year, Romania has sold roughly 42.6 billion lei and tapped foreign markets for $4 billion of 5-, 10- and 30-year bonds and 2 billion euros of 2026 and 2029 eurobonds.
