STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex rose 263.47 points, or 0.44%,
to 60,096.44, while the broader NSE index gained 77.55
points, or 0.44%, to 17,676.7, aided by auto and realty stocks
following strong quarterly business updates, but rising odds of
a U.S. Federal Reserve rate hike in May capped gains. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee weakened 0.04% versus the U.S. dollar,
and quoted at 81.92 per dollar, as Asian currencies were tepid
after U.S. payrolls data bolstered the case for further rate
hikes by the Federal Reserve. GOVERNMENT BONDS:
The benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 100.35
rupees, with the yield down 1 bps at 7.2068%, as profit booking
capped further declines. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:

3 bps at 6.55%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate fell 1 bps to 6.06%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
