MUMBAI, April 10 (Reuters) -
STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex rose 13.54 points, or 0.02%,
to 59,846.51, while the broader NSE index gained 24.9
points, or 0.14%, to 17,624.05 helped by strong quarterly
business updates from auto and realty companies. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee weakened 0.11% versus the U.S. dollar,
and quoted at 81.98 per dollar after recent U.S. data bolstered
bets of another Federal Reserve rate hike. GOVERNMENT BONDS:
Benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 100.18
rupees, with yield up 2 bps at 7.2313% vs previous close of
7.2120% as traders continued to book profits after the Reserve
Bank of India's rate pause. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was down
2 bps at 6.56%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate rose 2 bps to 6.09%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was down 5 bps at
6.30% against 6.35% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS
rate was at 6.32%, compared with the previous
day's weighted average of 6.3917%.
