Turkey - Factors to Watch on April 10

ISTANBUL, April 10 (Reuters) - Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Monday. The lira traded at 19.2580 against the dollar at 0405 GMT, little changed from its close on Friday of 19.2490. The main BIST 100 share index closed 0.24% higher at 4,924.64 points on Friday.

GLOBAL MARKETS Asian shares inched higher, while the dollar started the week on the front foot after the U.S. jobs data underscored a tight labour market, firming up expectations that the Federal Reserve will again raise interest rates at its meeting next month.

ERDOGAN SCHEDULE President Tayyip Erdogan will make a speech at a launch ceremony for a TCG Anadolu amphibious assault ship in Tuzla, Istanbul (1100 GMT).

CURRENT ACCOUNT The central bank will release current account data for February (0700 GMT). In a Reuters poll, it was forecast to show a deficit of $8.5 billion on the back of high gold and energy imports.

UNEMPLOYMENT DATA The Turkish Statistical Institute will announce unemployment data for February (0700 GMT).

IRAQ SEEKS APOLOGY The Iraqi government called on Turkey on Saturday to apologize for what it said was an attack on Sulaymaniyah airport in northern Iraq, saying Ankara must cease hostilities on Iraqi soil.

TURKEY TRADE WITH RUSSIA Turkey has agreed to stop the transit of sanctioned western goods to Russia after pressure from the G7, a senior U.S. official said, cautioning that Washington will monitor Ankara's trade data with Moscow in anticipation of a drop.

DEFENCE MINISTER Defence Minister Hulusi Akar attends an opening ceremony for a ministry display centre in Ankara (1400 GMT).
