NAIROBI, April 11 (Reuters) - The Kenyan shilling weakened slightly against the dollar on Tuesday, as fuel
importers sought limited foreign currency, traders said.
At 0900 GMT, commercial banks quoted the shilling at
133.50/70 compared to Thursday's close of 133.40/60. Friday and
Monday were public holidays in Kenya.
The shilling has lost 7.7% of its value against the
greenback this year, hitting a new record low of 133.65/85 on
Tuesday, according to Refinitiv data.
"(Foreign-currency) demand is very high but there's not much
supply," said one trader at a commercial bank.
