MUMBAI, April 11 (Reuters) -
STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex rose 148.05 points, or 0.25%,
to 59,994.56, while the broader NSE index gained 53.45
points, or 0.30%, to 17,677.5, as investors await quarterly
earnings. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee weakened 0.14% versus the U.S. dollar,
and quoted at 82.10 per dollar, likely on account of persistent
dollar demand from importers looking to hedge near-maturity
liabilities, traders said. GOVERNMENT BONDS:
Benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 100.16
rupees, with yield unchanged at 7.2343% vs previous close of
7.2313%, ahead of state debt sale result. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was down
1 bps at 6.57%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate fell 1 bps to 6.10%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was unchanged at
6.30% against 6.30% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS
rate was at 6.30%, compared with the previous
day's weighted average of 6.2934%.
