SAO PAULO, April 12 (Reuters) - Brazil's retail sales
rose 3.8 percent in January compared with the previous month and
advanced 2.6 percent from the same month a year earlier,
government statistics agency IBGE said on Wednesday.
A Reuters poll of economists showed that expectations were
for increases of 3.2% on a monthly comparison and 1.4% year on
year.
