MUMBAI, April 12 (Reuters) -
STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex rose 249.06 points, or 0.41%,
to 60,406.78, while the broader NSE index gained 90.55
points, or 0.51%, to 17,812.85, as March-quarter corporate
earnings trickled in. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee strengthened 0.06% versus the U.S.
dollar, and quoted at 82.0775 per dollar, as caution prevailed
prior to an inflation report that would influence the Federal
Reserve's next policy move. GOVERNMENT BONDS:
Benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 100.26
rupees, with yield unchanged at 7.2201%, as markets kept their
focus on March inflation reading from the United States, as well
as at home. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was up 1
bps at 6.58%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate rose 1 bps to 6.11%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was unchanged at
6.30% against 6.30% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS
rate was at 6.28%, compared with the previous
day's weighted average of 6.2842%.
