POLITICS Italy's data protection agency set out a list of demands on Wednesday which it said OpenAI must meet by April 30 to address the agency's concerns over the ChatGPT chatbot and allow the artificial intelligence service to resume in the country. (*) OpenAI said on Thursday it welcomed the agency's statement and looked forward to working with it "to make ChatGPT available to our customers in Italy again soon."

COMPANIES ENEL , ENI , LEONARDO , POSTE Italy's Treasury on Wednesday appointed new managers at the top state-run companies, naming Flavio Cattaneo as chief executive of the country's biggest utility Enel while confirming Claudio Descalzi at the helm of energy group Eni for an unprecedented fourth term. Roberto Cingolani was appointed CEO of defence group Leonardo while Matteo Del Fante was confirmed at postal service Poste Italiane.

(*) TELECOM ITALIA (TIM) The bidders for the phone group's landline network are working to improve their offers, daily Corriere della Sera said on Thursday. Both for consortium made up of Italian state lender CDP and Macquarie , and its rival, US fund KKR will make offers of between 19 billion and 21 billion euros ($23.07 billion), the paper said.
JUVENTUS Italy's football association (FIGC) has finished an investigation into Juventus over alleged irregularities in their payments to players, the Serie A club said on Wednesday. Juventus, who have already been hit with a 15-point Serie A deduction this season in a separate case over players' transfers, could face further sporting penalties if found guilty.
