TOKYO, April 18 (Reuters) - The Bank of Japan (BOJ) is
buying Japanese government bonds (JGBs) as part of efforts to
achieve its 2% inflation target, not to monetise debt, BOJ
Governor Kazuo Ueda said on Tuesday.
"The BOJ's bond purchases are part of our monetary policy,"
Ueda told the lower house financial committee of parliament.
