PRAGUE, April 17 (Reuters) - Czech passenger car
production rose 31.5% year-on-year in the first quarter, news
agency CTK reported on Monday.
Output, hurt last year by shortages of chips which has
partially eased since, rose to 353,770 cars, of which 11.7% were
electric vehicles, CTK said, citing the Automotive Industry
Association.
The Czech Republic is heavily dependent on the auto
industry, led by Volkswagen's Skoda Auto . Toyota and Hyundai also have manufacturing plants
in the country.
