OTTAWA, April 18 (Reuters) - The Canadian government
said on Tuesday that it intends to issue a
U.S.-dollar-denominated global bond on Wednesday to help
supplement and diversify Canada's liquid foreign reserves.
The bond issuance would be subject to market conditions, and
made about a year after Canada's last U.S.-dollar bond issue in
April 2022 worth $3.5 billion. The size of Wednesday's issuance
was not mentioned in a brief statement from Canada's finance
ministry.
