April 18 (Reuters) - Russian supermarket group X5 on
Tuesday reported a 15.7% jump in net retail sales to 689.2
billion roubles ($8.46 billion) in the first quarter, the
company said.
The group, which operates Pyaterochka and Perekrestok
supermarket chains, said like-for-like sales were up 6.5%
year-on-year, while net sales at its digital business climbed
35.9%.
Net sales at X5's hard discounter format - 'Chizhik' -
stores were up five-fold during the first quarter on an annual
basis, the company said.
