STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex fell 10.63 points, or 0.02%,
to 59,900.12, while the broader NSE index lost 13.2
points, or 0.07%, to 17,693.65, as information technology stocks
dragged markets after weak quarterly earnings of Tata
Consultancy Services and Infosys amid uncertainty over client
spending. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee weakened 0.07% versus the U.S. dollar,
and quoted at 82.03 per dollar, down on dollar demand from
importers, traders said. GOVERNMENT BONDS:
Benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 100.16
rupees, with yield down 1 bps at 7.2348% vs previous close of
7.2475%, as traders await fresh triggers. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was down
2 bps at 6.58%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate stayed fixed to 6.17%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was down 5 bps at
6.35% against 6.40% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS
rate was at 6.66%, compared with the previous
day's weighted average of 6.5075%.
