UK Stocks-Factors to watch on April 18

April 18 - Britain's FTSE 100 index is seen opening higher on Tuesday with futures up 0.17%.
* ANGLO AMERICAN: Chile's ministry of environment said committee of government ministers approved environmental permit for $3 billion extension of Anglo American's Los Bronces project in Chile.
* GLENCORE: Glencore executives have met with some 120 Teck Resources shareholders during a short visit to Toronto to try to win support for a takeover bid, a source familiar with the situation said.
* METAL: Shanghai tin prices climbed over 10% to their highest in more than two months, as supply fears grew after a major ore producing region in Myanmar banned mining activities.
* GOLD: Gold prices rose after two sessions of losses as dollar eased, while investors sought more clarity on U.S. Federal Reserve's monetary policy stance.
* OIL: Oil prices firmed slightly early on Tuesday after falling 2% in the previous session, as stronger economic data from China underpinned demand outlook.
* FTSE: UK's FTSE 100 eked out small gains for a seventh straight session on Monday, as a weaker pound lifted shares of internationally focused firms.
