STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex fell 112.88 points, or 0.19%,
to 59,614.13, while the broader NSE index lost 24.1
points, or 0.14%, to 17,636.05, as sentiment remained weak after
a lacklustre start to the quarterly earnings season, and amid
weak global cues. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee weakened 0.11% versus the U.S. dollar,
and quoted at 82.13 per dollar, tracking muted Asian cues. GOVERNMENT BONDS:
Benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 100.31
rupees, with yield down 1 bp at 7.2125%; vs previous close of
7.2207%, on lack of fresh triggers. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was down
2 bps at 6.56%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate fell 2 bps to 6.10%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was up 5 bps at
6.60% against 6.55% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS
rate was at 6.53%, compared with the previous
day's weighted average of 6.5862%.
