MUMBAI, April 20 (Reuters) -
STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex rose 64.55 points, or 0.11%,
to 59,632.35, while the broader NSE index gained 5.7
points, or 0.03%, to 17,624.45, as trading was subdued ahead of
key IT and industrials earnings. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee strengthened 0.10% versus the U.S.
dollar, and quoted at 82.1475 per dollar, rising after three
days of losses as Asian currencies advanced, with markets
focussing on Fed commentary and U.S. data releases. GOVERNMENT BONDS:
Benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 100.25
rupees, with yield unchanged at 7.2206% vs previous close of
7.2251%, ahead of RBI policy minutes. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was down
1 bps at 6.59%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate fell 2 bps to 6.10%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was up 5 bps at
6.55% against 6.50% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS
rate was at 6.96%, compared with the previous
day's weighted average of 6.4215%.
