STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex rose 24.4 points, or 0.04%, to
59,679.46. HDFC Life was the tope performer while Sun Pharma
lead drugmakers lower. The broader NSE index advanced
16.25 points, or 0.09%, to 17,640.3. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee was little changed at 82.08 to the
U.S. dollar amid data that dampened bets the Federal Reserve
will cut rates later this year. GOVERNMENT BONDS:
Benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 100.54
rupees, with yield down 1 bps at 7.1778% amid positive sentiment
following robust demand at Friday's debt sale. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was up 1
bps at 6.59%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate rose 1 bps to 6.08%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was up 5 bps at
6.70% against 6.65% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS
rate was at 6.70 compared with the previous
day's weighted average of 6.7095%.
