MUMBAI, April 25 (Reuters) -
STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex rose 74.61 points, or 0.12%,
to 60,130.71, while the broader NSE index gained 20.65
points, or 0.12%, to 17,764.05, as sentiment improved after
strong quarterly results from index heavyweights Reliance
Industries and ICICI Bank and investors awaited more results in
a busy earnings week. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee weakened 0.01% versus the U.S. dollar,
and quoted at 81.93 per dollar, with traders awaiting fresh cues
before making substantial bets, while Asian peers continued to
be weak. GOVERNMENT BONDS:
The benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 101.17
rupees, with the yield down 1 bps at 7.0902% as traders await
fresh cues. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was down
5 bps at 6.52%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate fell 9 bps to 5.96%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was unchanged at
6.75%. The overnight TREPS rate was at 6.75%,
compared with the previous day's weighted average of 6.7216%.
