STOCKHOLM, April 26 (Reuters) - The Swedish crown should
become stronger and if it does not, that could affect monetary
policy further ahead, Riksbank Governor Erik Thedeen said on
Wednesday.
"We believe in, and want to have, a stronger crown," Thedeen
told reporters after the Riksbank announced a half percentage
point rate hike to 3.50%.
"If that were not to happen over time, that could have
significance for monetary policy because a weaker crown could
lead to higher inflation."
