MADRID, April 27 (Reuters) - The Spanish government
intends to lower the budget deficit to the equivalent to 3% of
gross domestic product in 2024 from 3.9% projected for this
year, Budget Minister Maria Jesus Montero said on Thursday.
That is below its previous 2024 target of 3.3% of GDP, she
said, adding that the 3% was the goal was originally set for
2025. Now, the goal for 2025 is 2.7%, and for 2026 the
government targets a gap of 2.5%.
