PRAGUE, April 27 (Reuters) - Germany's privately-held Winkelmann Group will invest at least 110 million euros to build a new plant producing hot water tanks for heat pumps in Slovakia, Slovak Prime Minister Eduard Heger said on Thursday.

The plant in Rimavska Sobota, 275 km (171 miles) east of Bratislava by road will open in 2025 and create 450 direct jobs in an area with 13% unemployment, the Economy Ministry said in a press release.

Winkelmann is a family-owned metal-working business dating back to 1898 with 13 manufacturing sites in Germany, Poland, Turkey, China, United States and Mexico.
