MUMBAI, April 28 (Reuters) - STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex rose 463.06 points, or 0.76%,
to 61,112.44, while the broader NSE index gained 149.95
points, or 0.84%, to 18,065 as beaten-down information
technology stocks rose and financials rebounded. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee strengthened 0.02% versus the U.S.
dollar, and quoted at 81.8250 per dollar, amid muted Asian
currencies, while it posted gains for the week. GOVERNMENT BONDS:
Benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 100.96
rupees, with yield up 2 bps at 7.1196%; vs previous close of
7.0987% as weekly debt auction added to overall supply, while
the broader focus remained on the outcome of the U.S. Federal
Reserve's policy next week. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was down
1 bps at 6.56%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate rose 1 bps to 6.02%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was unchanged at
6.75% against 6.75% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS
rate was at 6.89%, compared with the previous
day's weighted average of 6.7557%.
