SYDNEY, May 1 (Reuters) - Australian job advertisements fell for a third month in April, as strong employment growth filled vacancies, while overall demand for labour shows little sign of easing as yet. The new series from Australia and New Zealand Banking Group and job website Indeed showed job ads dipped a slight 0.3% in April from May, when they dropped 2.7%. Ads were down 5.4% on a year earlier, but remain 52% above pre-pandemic levels. "The level remains very high, signalling significant unfilled labour demand, and is consistent with solid employment gains," said ANZ senior economist Catherine Birch. Official data showed net new jobs jumped by almost 117,00 over February and March, keeping unemployment down at an historically low 3.5%.
