INCHEON, South Korea, May 2 (Reuters) - Economic leaders
of Japan, South Korea and China said in a joint message that
they recognise the importance of strengthening economic and
trade relations to secure post-pandemic growth, minimize any
lasting negative effects, and prepare for future shocks.
The finance ministers and central bank governors of the
three countries said they have observed a slowdown in economic
relations recently, particularly in terms of trade in goods and
services, despite their close economic relationships.
The joint message came after their trilateral meeting on
Tuesday. It also said the three countries fully support
implementation of Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership
(RCEP) Agreement and agree on needs to progress effectiveness of
the Chiang Mai Initiative Multilateralisation (CMIM).
