WASHINGTON, May 1 (Reuters) - The U.S. Treasury said on
Monday that it ended April with an operating cash balance of
$316.38 billion, up from $177.69 billion at the end of March, an
increase that came from receipts associated with the mid-April
tax filing deadline.
The Daily Treasury Statement showed total April deposits
into the Treasury General Account at the Federal Reserve at
$1.98 trillion, and withdrawals of $1.84 trillion.
