* Indonesia's largest tin company PT Timah in the
January-March period produced 3,970 metric tonnes of tin metal,
down 18% from a year earlier, it said in a statement on
Wednesday
* Sales of tin metal in the first quarter fell 26% annually
to
4,246 tonnes as the company recorded an average selling price of
$26,573 per tonne, down 39%.
* Timah's net profit in the first quarter shrank to 50.28
billion
rupiah ($3.42 million) from 601.47 billion rupiah a year
earlier.
