WASHINGTON, May 2 (Reuters) - U.S. President Joe Biden has a choice: Accept the bill passed by House of Representatives Republicans or negotiate a deal with House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, U.S. Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell said on Tuesday.

McConnell also told reporters there is no solution to the debt ceiling problem in the Senate, and said he will attend a meeting to discuss the issue with Biden and other Congressional leaders at the White House on May 9. (Reporting by David Morgan and Katharine Jackson; Editing by Leslie Adler)
