MOSCOW, May 2 (Reuters) - Russia's exports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) declined by 11% year on year to 10.5 million tonnes in January - April, while supplies to Europe remained stable, Refinitiv Eikon data shows. LNG supplies from Russia to Europe for the period were 6.4 million tonnes, the same as in January-April 2022, it showed. Russian LNG exports to Asia in January-April fell to 3.7 million tonnes from 5.3 million in the same period in 2022. Russian natural gas exports via pipelines operated by Kremlin-owned Gazprom almost halved last year to around 101 billion cubic metres (bcm) as Europe, its largest customer, cut imports due to the conflict in Ukraine and a major pipeline was damaged by mysterious blasts.
At the same time, LNG supplies from Russia have largely held
steady. The United States is the largest LNG supplier to Europe
