STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex rose 316.02 points, or 0.52%,
to 61,428.46, and the broader NSE index advanced 87.95
points, or 0.49%, to 18,152.95, lead by IT companies. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee strengthened 0.1% versus the U.S.
dollar to 81.76, helped by inflows, traders said. GOVERNMENT BONDS:
Benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 100.89
rupees, with yield up 1 bps at 7.1303%, tracking an uptick on
U.S. yields. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was
unchanged at 6.58%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate rose 1 bps to 6.05%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was up 45 bps at
6.65% against 6.20% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS
rate was at 6.55%, compared with the previous
day's weighted average of 6.7644%.
