KAMPALA, May 2 (Reuters) - The Ugandan shilling was stable on Tuesday amid muted appetite for dollars from importers and commercial banks, traders said.

At 0836 GMT, commercial banks quoted the shilling at 3,735/3,745, little-changed from Friday's close 3,730/3,740. Markets were closed on Monday for Labour Day. (Reporting by Elias Biryabarema; Editing by George Obulutsa)
