May 3 (Reuters) - Italy posted a state sector budget
deficit of 11.7 billion euros ($12.93 billion) in April
compared to a surplus of 6.05 billion euros in the same month
last year, the Treasury said in a statement on Wednesday.
The difference is mainly due to welfare spending.
