SAO PAULO, May 5 (Reuters) - Brazilian hybrid wholesaler
Assai expects inflation levels in the country to be
"very low" in the second quarter, Chief Executive Belmiro Gomes
said on Friday, a similar view to that of rival Carrefour
Brasil.
Gomes told analysts Assai would adopt a "cautious approach"
regarding new store openings this year due to tight
macroeconomic conditions, adding its main goals for 2023 were
stabilizing margins and hitting a net debt/EBITDA ratio of 2.2.
