VILNIUS, May 5 (Reuters) - European Central Bank
interest rates will have to rise further, Lithuanian policymaker
Gediminas Simkus said on Friday, a day after the ECB slowed the
pace of rate hikes to 25 basis points.
"There is understanding that rates will need to be increased
further," Simkus told reporters. "We will keep rates high for a
sufficiently long time to get inflation back to 2%.
"For now, they are not high enough and will have to be
raised again," Simkus added.
