MUMBAI, May 9 (Reuters) -
STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex rose 185.61 points, or 0.3%,
to 61,949.86 points, amid mixed Asian cues. Coal India and Tata
Motors were among the top performers. The broader NSE index advanced 57.15 points, or 0.31%, to 18,321.55. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee weakened 0.16% to 81.93 versus the
U.S. dollar on possible dollar outflows. GOVERNMENT BONDS:
The benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 101.48
rupees, with the yield unchanged at 7.0452%, ahead of state debt
sale. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was down
1 bps at 6.60%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate stayed fixed to 6.01%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was up 10 bps at
6.85%. The overnight TREPS rate was at 6.77%,
compared with the previous day's weighted average of 6.7569%.
