BRASILIA, May 10 (Reuters) - Brazil's executive
secretary of the Finance Ministry, Gabriel Galipolo, slated for
a pivotal position in the country's central bank, stated on
Wednesday that his nomination intends to foster dialogue towards
aligning fiscal and monetary policies.
Speaking to TV Band News, he said government actions are
creating a more comfortable environment for monetary policy.
Regarding his economic stance, he said "this information
should not impact my performance but my academic work does not
align with modern monetary theory."
