Romania's Jan-March foreign trade deficit up at 6.802 bln euros

May 10 (Reuters) - Romania's foreign trade deficit widened to 6.802 billion euros in January-March, the National Statistics Board said on Wednesday. The March shortfall was 2.437 billion euros compared with
2.048 billion shortfall the previous month.


The Statistics Board said January-March CIF (cost/insurance/freight) imports were 30.616 bln euros, up 4.7% on the year, while exports were 23.814 bln euros, up 8.1%. (Reporting by Antonis Triantafyllou and Katarzyna Zajaczkowska in Gdansk)
