STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex fell 138.71 points, or 0.22%,
to 61,622.62, tracking weak Asia risk appetite ahead of U.S.
inflation data. The broader NSE index lost 24.35 points,
or 0.14%, to 18,241.6. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee was little changed at 82.03 to the
dollar amid range-bound Asian peers and tepid risk. GOVERNMENT BONDS:
The benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 101.45
rupees, with the yield unchanged at 7.0494% as traders eye U.S.
and India inflation data to gauge near-term outlook. India
inflation data is due Friday. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was down
1 bps at 6.59%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate fell 1 bps to 6.01%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was unchanged at
6.75%. The overnight TREPS rate was at 6.77%,
compared with the previous day's weighted average of 6.7676%.
