STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex fell 8.86 points, or 0.01%, to
61,931.34, while the broader NSE index was little
changed at 18,318 amid mixed cues from Asian peers. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee was barely changed to the U.S. dollar
at 81.98, providing a muted reaction to the U.S. inflation data. GOVERNMENT BONDS:
The benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 101.64
rupees, with yield down 2 bps at 7.0223%, tracing the decline in
U.S. yields after the U.S. annual inflation rate dropped to a
2-year low. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was down
1 bps at 6.59%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate fell 3 bps to 6.00%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was up 15 bps at
6.90% against 6.75% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS
rate was at 6.76%, compared with the previous
day's weighted average of 6.7644%.
