STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex fell 195.78 points, or 0.32%,
to 61,708.74, tracking losses on other Asian gauges on worries
over the U.S. economic outlook. The broader NSE index lost 93.15 points, or 0.38%, to 18,229.85. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee weakened 0.04% to 82.13 to the U.S.
dollar as weak risk boosted weighed on demand for Asian
currencies. GOVERNMENT BONDS:
Benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 101.62
rupees, with yield unchanged at 7.0258 as traders await fresh
debt supply and local inflation data. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was
unchanged at 6.58%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate stayed fixed to 6.00%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was up 15 bps at
6.85% against 6.70% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS
rate was at 6.76%, compared with the previous
day's weighted average of 6.7596%.
