MUMBAI, May 12 (Reuters) - STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex rose 123.38 points, or 0.2%,
to 62,027.9, while the broader NSE index gained 20.9
points, or 0.11%, to 18,317.9 aided by financials and auto
stocks, ahead of domestic retail inflation data. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee weakened 0.09% versus the U.S. dollar,
and quoted at 82.17 per dollar, dragged down by a broader
strength in the dollar index. GOVERNMENT BONDS:
Benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 101.66
rupees, with yield little changed at 7.0194%; vs previous close
of 7.0234% ahead of the local inflation data due later in the
day. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was down
1 bps at 6.57%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate rose 3 bps to 6.03%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was up 5 bps at
6.75% against 6.70% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS
rate was at 6.56%, compared with the previous
day's weighted average of 6.7596%.
