Oil and gas production decreased in the first quarter-Dallas Fed teaser image

HOUSTON, March 27 (Reuters) - Oil and gas production decreased in the first quarter of 2024, said executives at exploration and production firms, the Dallas Federal Reserve Bank reported on Wednesday.

The first quarter, suggested a small decline in production. Meanwhile, the natural gas production index turned negative, said the Dallas Fed.

The outlook however improved even as there was no positive change in oil and gas activity, the report said.
