June 20 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened higher on Thursday as gains in metal prices boosted mining shares and a surge in crude prices lifted energy stocks.
At 9:33 a.m. ET (13:33 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index (.GSPTSE), opens new tab was up 24.57 points, or 0.11%, at 21,541.47.
