TSX opens higher as Scotiabank reports robust earnings teaser image

Dec 2 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened higher on Tuesday as investors welcomed strong quarterly results from Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS.TO), which kicked off the earnings season for domestic banks.

At 9:30 a.m. ET (1330 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index (.GSPTSE), was up 0.21% at 31,165.92 points.
